Maersk Lifts Profit Outlook After Strong Quarter

Copenhagen — Maersk has increased its earnings forecast for 2025.
The change follows stronger container volumes in the second quarter.
Growth came mainly from Europe, Latin America, and Asia.
Quarterly revenue reached 13.1 billion dollars.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization were 2.3 billion dollars.
Executives said the company is benefiting from steady demand outside the United States.
Trade tensions in the U.S. market continue to limit growth there.
The updated forecast sets annual EBITDA between 8 and 9.5 billion dollars.
The previous range was 6 to 9 billion.
Maersk plans to keep investing in regional logistics hubs.
Management expects stable demand for the rest of the year.
