Iveco Group has received the highest possible sustainability recognition from EcoVadis, securing a Platinum Medal for 2025—an achievement that places the industrial vehicle manufacturer in the top 1% of companies worldwide for environmental and social performance.

The distinction, awarded by one of the world’s most trusted ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) rating platforms, marks a significant milestone in Iveco’s ongoing journey to embed sustainability into its operational DNA and its supply chain strategy.

“Achieving Platinum is not just a badge—it’s proof of the deep integration of responsible practices throughout our global operations,” said Gerrit Marx, CEO of Iveco Group. “It confirms that sustainability isn’t an add-on for us. It’s how we do business.”

From Gold to Platinum: A Commitment to Continuous Improvement

Iveco’s upgrade from a Gold Medal in 2023 to Platinum in 2025 reflects measurable progress in key areas including:

  • Carbon footprint reduction, with targeted decarbonization pathways for product lines

  • Human rights auditing and ethical labor standards across global facilities

  • Transparent governance and supplier due diligence frameworks

  • Sustainable procurement policies tied to long-term value creation

According to EcoVadis, the evaluation covered over 150,000 companies across 175 countries and 200 industries. Iveco’s overall performance placed it in the top percentile across all four scoring pillars: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement.

What It Means for Logistics and Procurement Leaders

As ESG performance becomes increasingly embedded in logistics procurement criteria, OEMs like Iveco that rank highly in independent assessments stand to benefit from:

  • Stronger eligibility for public and private contracts

  • Improved reputation among corporate sustainability programs

  • Greater leverage with green investors and policy stakeholders

“We’re seeing a clear shift: fleet buyers and logistics companies are now asking for verifiable ESG credentials, not just fuel efficiency,” said an analyst at a leading EU-based transport think tank. “This recognition positions Iveco as a credible partner in responsible fleet transition.”

Aligning with Long-Term Strategy

The EcoVadis distinction is just one element of Iveco’s broader roadmap, which includes investing in zero-emission vehicles, circular production practices, and digital transparency tools for emissions monitoring and lifecycle assessments.

With carbon neutrality targets aligning with EU Green Deal ambitions and industry-wide calls for traceability, Iveco’s achievement offers a blueprint for manufacturers seeking to lead rather than follow.
