Truckstop.com Expands Heavy Haul Capabilities With Wize Load Acquisition

Truckstop.com has acquired Wize Load, a platform specialising in heavy haul rate intelligence, as part of its strategy to expand capabilities in complex freight segments.

Heavy haul logistics—covering oversized, open-deck and specialised loads—requires significantly more planning than standard truckload shipments. Factors such as permits, escort requirements, equipment specifications and route constraints all influence pricing and execution.

By integrating Wize Load into its ecosystem, Truckstop is adding lane-specific pricing data, regulatory insights and equipment requirements into a single platform. The service will be rebranded as Truckstop Heavy Haul Rates, while existing users will retain their current workflows and login access.

The acquisition complements Truckstop’s Heavy Haul Load Board launched earlier this year, which connects carriers with specialised equipment to relevant freight. Together, the tools aim to streamline both load matching and pricing within one system.

The company said the move reflects a long-term focus on freight segments that remain underserved by integrated digital solutions, where pricing has traditionally relied on fragmented data and manual processes.
