Pandora Opens Canada Distribution Centre to Cut Tariff Exposure and Delivery Times

Pandora has opened a new distribution centre in Mississauga, Ontario, in a move designed to reduce its exposure to US tariffs and improve service levels for Canadian customers. Until now, online orders destined for Canada were processed through US distribution centres and had to clear US customs before moving north.

The company said the new site will cut delivery times by up to 50% while also simplifying returns. Operated by GXO Logistics, the facility can handle up to 12,500 online orders a day and is the first to use Pandora’s updated logistics model.

That model includes a pick-to-light order system, which uses illuminated indicators to guide staff to the right products and improve speed and accuracy. Pandora said the setup should strengthen stock availability, reduce errors and make it easier to work with different logistics providers.

The change comes as retailers continue to adjust networks in response to shifting trade policy under the Trump administration. It also lands ahead of the upcoming review of the US-Mexico-Canada Agreement, with the first joint meeting scheduled for July. For Pandora, the Canadian facility is both a service upgrade and a hedge against trade uncertainty.
