SF Airlines, China’s largest air cargo carrier, has reached a significant industry milestone by expanding its fleet to 90 freighters, reinforcing its leadership in global logistics. Simultaneously, its sister company, Kerry Logistics, is set for a major corporate transformation, with a rebranding strategy aimed at reshaping its international identity.
SF Airlines’ Expansion: Strengthening Global Cargo Operations
On March 16, 2025, SF Airlines welcomed its 90th aircraft, a Boeing 767-300BCF, at Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport. This strategic addition enhances the airline’s operational flexibility and strengthens its ability to meet increasing global freight demands. With over 100 domestic and international destinations, SF Airlines is positioning itself as a critical player in the e-commerce and logistics sectors.
Currently, widebody jets make up over 30% of SF Airlines’ fleet, enabling it to handle high-capacity shipments more efficiently. The airline reported a record-breaking 1.17 million tonnes of air cargo transported in 2024, marking the first time it surpassed the one-million-tonne milestone in a single year. This surge highlights SF Airlines’ expanding role in global supply chain resilience and efficiency.
Kerry Logistics Rebranding: A Strategic Shift for Global Expansion
Meanwhile, Kerry Logistics Network Limited is on the verge of a brand overhaul, proposing to change its name to KLN Logistics Group Limited.
This rebranding initiative is designed to modernize the company’s corporate image, aligning it with its evolving global strategy. As a major subsidiary of SF Holding, Kerry Logistics’ transformation reflects a broader effort to streamline branding and strengthen its international recognition. The proposed changes are pending shareholder approval and regulatory clearance in Bermuda.
The Bigger Picture: SF Holding’s Vision for Global Logistics Dominance
These two developments underscore SF Holding’s commitment to expanding its influence in the global logistics industry. With air freight demand rising and e-commerce fueling rapid cross-border shipments, SF Airlines’ growing fleet will play a pivotal role in enhancing logistics efficiency. At the same time, Kerry Logistics’ rebranding signals a potential expansion into new markets and a repositioning of its service portfolio.
By reinforcing air cargo capacity and revamping its subsidiary’s market identity, SF Holding is setting the stage for a stronger, more integrated logistics network. These strategic moves could reshape global freight transport dynamics, further solidifying SF Holding’s competitive edge.
